Grainy security video sheds some light on the events leading up to Saturday’s devastating propane tanker explosion at Atlas Castings & Technology.
The truck driver injured in an explosion at Tacoma’s Atlas foundry Oct. 6 died from his injuries Sunday morning, his family’s attorney said.
Tacoma city officials declined on Wednesday to release video footage of the explosions at Atlas Castings & Technology, saying they planned to notify the company, the state Department of Labor and Industries and the family of the man critically injured in the blasts.
Saturday, most of us heard the explosions at Atlas Castings & Technology.
Tacoma Fire Department investigators said Monday that faulty hoses or faulty connections between stationary propane tanks and a delivery truck likely caused “a very significant leak” that led to devastating explosions Saturday at a Tacoma foundry. Investigators said the fire at Atlas Castings & Technology was accidental, assistant chief Dan Crotty said.
Greg Stacy said he wasn’t worried about returning to work Monday, but couldn’t help but wonder what-if.
