WASHINGTON – An activist organization defended its voter registration practices Tuesday amid new allegations of voter fraud and a call from Republican lawmakers to investigate irregularities.
Eight years ago, Tim Eyman ran an initiative – “Roads First” – that would have forced the state to spend transportation money on roads and highways. It lost, big time.
You’d have thought the standard of decency in American presidential elections couldn’t get any lower – but partisan trolls on the Internet have managed to debase it further this year.
We suggest that Gov. Chris Gregoire’s campaign go back and look – real hard – for legitimate campaign issues. Given the governor’s history with the stem cell controversy, it’s amazing her are trying to recycle it.
