City of Tacoma Compensation Changes
The city of Tacoma adjusted the salaries and job classifications of more than 775 of 942 non-union employees to bring them in line with market rates. This database shows their old and new salaries and job titles and well as the percentage change in employees' pay rates.
Because the database represents snapshots in time, certain things are not reflected – promotions, temporary assignments and changes in status. For example, the employee who saw the largest increase, 71%, also moved from part-time to full-time.
The information was provided by the city in response to a public records request from The News Tribune.
