Voters would be wise to put Hansen on council
Re: “Voters will lose if Turner wins at-large council seat” (letter, 9-4).
The letter writer was right on. It’s important that Puyallup voters personally select all the members who serve on their City Council rather than to have the City Council make the choice for them.
Rick Hansen is a very qualified leader who will consider citizen interests first. He has always been an advocate and supporter of our city and neighborhoods.
I served with Hansen in the past. He made thoughtful, smart decisions based on what was best for our citizens. Voting to add him to the Puyallup City Council is a win-win proposition for the diversity of the City Council and the citizens of Puyallup. (Martin is the outgoing Puyallup City Council member at large.)
