If you want to update your home but don’t have a ton of cash, the Puyallup Home & Garden Show next weekend might be just the place.
This year, vendors will feature economical and energy-efficient options for home remodeling, along with an antiques sale and more than 100 vendors in 120,000 square feet.
One of the economical options is Granite Transformations, a company that can transform your kitchen or bathroom’s counters in about a day. Their countertops, which come in granite, glass mosaic or quartz, are fitted for the existing counter in your home. That way, nothing needs to be torn out.
The countertops are resistant to heat, water and scratches, just like solid granite counters, but come at a fraction of the price, according to the company’s Web site (www.granitetransformations.com).
Another economical home trend featured at the show is Tilt ’N’ Slide windows. The windows slide open like regular windows, but also tilt, meaning both sides can be cleaned from inside the house.
The windows contain low-E glass, which provides extra insulation, and savings in energy bills, according to the company.
The home show also will include its annual antiques show, featuring dealers and collectors from around the region.
