The action begins at 9 a.m. The course is on scenic country roads with some hills and is certified and sanctioned by USA Track and Field, organizers said a news release.
The start and finish of all three races will be north of the town of Vashon, near the corner of Vashon Highway and Gorsuch Road. After the race, participants can recoup while watching the Strawberry Festival parade. The race is named in honor of Bill Burby, co-founder of the original Strawberry Festival 10K Run, according to the race Web site.
The event is co-sponsored by Northwest Sports, Vashon Windermere, Vashon Kiwanis and Vashon Rotary.
