WASHINGTON – Here’s how Washington state’s senators voted in the week ending Friday. The House conducted no votes.

Jobless checks: Senators advanced, 89-6, a bill providing seven more weeks of jobless checks for those who have used up their allotments, or 13 or 20 more weeks in states with at least 6 percent unemployment. The bill was passed by voice vote and became law. A yes vote backed HR 6867.

Voting yes: Maria Cantwell, D; Patty Murray, D.

KEY VOTES AHEAD

Congress could meet in December to take up economic issues such as a bailout of U.S. automakers. The 111th Congress is scheduled to convene Jan. 6.
