I grieve for the Hizey family, who lost their little boy in a tragic accident (TNT, 1-17).
I understand the anger they have now, and how it helps them make sense of the senseless. We lost our son to a tragic accident 10 years ago and blamed everyone for not doing more, for not caring more, for not punishing someone.
It took a long time, and love from family and friends, but we know now that it just happened. We treasure the joy of having him for 20 years and knowing that he died loving us and his life here on Earth.
My grandson, who is 4, also went to see the Monster Trucks. It could have been him or any other child who loves those trucks and their drivers.
I pray for the Hizeys and know that in time they will not blame others for Sebastian’s death, but rejoice for the time they had with him and the fun he had.
