BONNEY LAKE: Citizens dismissed rabble-rousers

The overwhelming defeat (89 percent against) of the Bonney Lake city charter proposition clearly repudiated critics’ allegations that the city was broke and broken. Citizens clearly never bought the rabble-rousers’ line. The overwhelming defeat of the charter proposal is a strong affirmation of the exemplary job that Mayor Neil Johnson and the City Council majority are doing.

Hopefully, those who caused the city to needlessly expend tens of thousands of dollars in an attempt to oust the Bonney Lake city government will now turn their efforts to helping build the community, rather than trying to set it on fire to watch it burn.
