SUMNER: District athletic director receives state honor at conference

Sumner School District athletic director Tim Thomsen has won the title of State Athletic Director of the Year.
Thomsen recently received the honor at the 37th annual conference of the Washington Secondary School Athletic Administrators Association in Spokane. Thomsen, the West Central District III Athletic Director of the Year, and eight others representing WIAA Districts were nominated for the award. Rhondi Adair of Annie Wright School in Tacoma was honored as the Sea-King District Two athletic director of the year.
