EPA: What do do about those CO2-spewing humans?

RANDY KIMSEY; Tacoma

The finding by the Environmental Protection Agency that carbon dioxide is a pollutant that is hazardous to humans (TNT, 4-18) sure caught me by surprise. This means all of us are spewing a killing gas into the air with each breath. We are self-contained killing machines.

I am looking forward to seeing what EPA regulation on reducing human CO2 emissions looks like. I mean, it can’t allow billions of humans to spew a killing gas at current levels.

Let’s see, no more biking or skiing; these raise our CO2 emissions way up there. Closure of all athletic clubs; we can’t have people increasing their breathing rates and killing the rest of us with their CO2 levels. Mandatory replacement of all stairs with elevators. The list goes on and on.

How can a gas that we produce ourselves and supplies a basic building block for plant life be so dangerous? It would be laughable if it weren’t going to have such an incredible impact on our economic activity and quality of life.

The sad fact is that it is all for nothing. The link between global temperature and CO2 is becoming weaker every day as we learn more about our climate. And the excuses for the divergence between climate model projections and actual temperatures becomes more stretched. I only hope enough of us will see through the climate change propaganda and put an end to this insanity.
