Say goodbye to Steilacoom school superintendent

THE NEWS TRIBUNE

Steilacoom Historical School District invites the greater Steilacoom, DuPont and Anderson Island community to say goodbye to Art Himmler, district superintendent for the last 15 years, at a reception today.

The farewell for Himmler, who is the fifth superintendent in the district’s 154-year history, will be from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Steilacoom High School Commons.

Himmler is bound for north-central Washington to become superintendent of the Omak School District beginning July 1.

Steilacoom’s interim superintendent starting next month will be Cathy Davidson, who has served as the chief of staff for the state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and as supervisor of the Central Kitsap School District.
