SOTOMAYOR: Columnist reveals anti-GOP bias

Re: “Republicans take aim at Sotomayor – and hit their own feet” (Kathleen Parker column, 7-19).
I wonder what Parker’s responses and feelings were about the Samuel Alito Supreme Court confirmation hearings when Sen. Kennedy called the nominee a bigot and kept interrupting him when he tried to answer his questions. Mrs. Alito was in tears after that session because of the treatment her husband received at the hands of the Democrats.
Parker’s description of the Republican Party as a Wonder Bread convention shows her bias in so many ways. In her opinion the Republicans should not have asked Sonia Sotomayor any tough questions about her past rulings and comments because she is the first Latina to be nominated to the Supreme Court and the Democrats are going to approve her anyway.
White men have done a very good job on the Supreme Court for more than 200 years with rulings of all kinds being given proper consideration and fair treatment and being decided by them without a lack of empathy.
