As a District 3 Puyallup resident, I’ve met John Alexander numerous times over the past several years. He is one of our most active citizens, and has demonstrated his care for the community in countless ways. His priority is to ensure that our quality of life always improves.
Whether it’s volunteering for the Puyallup Food Bank, caring for aging veterans or mentoring local at-risk youth, Alexander is a compassionate volunteer who commits himself solidly to Puyallup. He has shown that public service is more than a political tool. In fact, he has been a public servant his entire adult life, going back to his days in the military.
A good candidate is one who listens and then acts. I’ve watched Alexander talk to people from all walks of life and then make it a point to relay their concerns at City Council meetings. He’s the only candidate in the race who has done this, and he does it consistently and effectively.
Largely because of Alexander’s efforts, the council recently overturned an earlier decision to eliminate the three districts, ensuring that our neighborhoods remain equally represented.
At a time when our elected officials seem preoccupied with differences among themselves, we need a fresh, energetic voice from someone who has experience finding solutions to tough problems. That’s why I’m voting for Alexander.
