GIG HARBOR: Voters should re-elect Tim Payne

PAUL KADZIK; City Council member Gig Harbor

I am a long time resident of Gig Harbor who is concerned with what is best for the city, and as such I would like to endorse Tim Payne for City Council.

I have served with Payne on the council and have admired his professionalism and the quality of his service. He brings a fresh perspective to deliberations, has an open mind, and makes decisions based upon what is best for Gig Harbor and its citizens.

Like all of us, Payne is concerned with finding a balance between city growth and the maintenance of that special character that is Gig Harbor. His participation in such organizations as the Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association and the Gig Harbor Peninsula Historical Society attest to his commitment to preserving our rich heritage.

Payne’s career experience in dealing with and helping other much larger municipalities solve infrastructure problems associated with their utilities is invaluable to the city. His experience in dealing with other decision-makers both at the state and federal level has helped bring funding into our community for such projects as renovation of Donkey Creek Park, the Harbor History Museum and the Boys & Girls Club.

Payne is a dedicated and experienced public servant who deserves to be retained on the Gig Harbor City Council
