FOX: Obama’s effort to discredit network is working

RONALD PETITTE; Federal Way

After reading the letter by Chris Gillis (11-1), it seems President Obama’s and his press secretary’s plan to discredit Fox News is working nicely. All the other mainstream cable outlets have given the president 100 percent support before the election and have continued to so far.

Had President Bush and his cabinet openly tried to discredit CNN or MSNBC there would have been an outcry across the country by the mainstream media. Even as the president continues to complain about Fox News and some conservative radio programs, the mainstream media have been slow to defend Fox News or conservatives’ right to express their opinions freely.

I do believe that Van Jones would still be in the administration and Acorn’s wasting of millions of tax dollars and underhanded dealings would still be going on had Fox News not reported their findings. I do agree with one thing in the letter: “Clearly Fox is different.”
