A recent news headline from Reuters and other news sources stated, “Clinton offers U.S. aid to help boost Muslim ties.” The article went on to say how the U.S. will deliver on President Obama’s promise of a “new start” with the world’s Muslims.
So, the U.S. is now openly supporting a religion. Not the Christian religion, but the religion of Islam. I can imagine the outrage from the mainstream media if the headline had stated “Christian” or “Jewish” ties. This country is now openly supporting, not countries, but a religion, as the headline states.
This should be a wake-up call to this nation’s peoples, but, sadly, I don’t see that happening. Obama said the following in a speech in Egypt, “America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.” Notice he does not say “Christianity and Islam.” He touts the greatness of Islam and Muslims but ignores Christians and blames America for what is wrong in the world.
I would find it hard to believe that many of the people who voted for President Obama envisioned this type of action masquerading under the umbrella of hope and change.
