Last updated: January 24th, 2010 12:39 AM (PST)

Tickets are on sale for a showing of the documentaries “Red Gold” and “Equilibrium” on Feb. 3-4. The films will be shown from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tides Tavern in Gig Harbor.

Tickets are $5 with the proceeds going to Sportsmen’s Alliance for Alaska. Tickets can be purchased at the Gig Harbor Fly shop or online at www.gigharbor flyshop.com.

“Red Gold” is a documentary on the proposed Pebble Mine in Bristol Bay in Alaska. The proposed mine would be located at the headwaters of some of the most productive salmon rivers. “Equilibrium” is a shorter documentary about the mine.
