A not guilty plea was entered Wednesday on behalf of a young woman thought to be the first bikini barista in Pierce County charged with indecent exposure.
Megan Elizabeth Lenn, 19, waived her appearance at her arraignment in District Court. She was charged last month with one count of unlawful public exposure, a misdemeanor.
She’s expected in court April 12 for a pre-trial conference, deputy prosecutor Cory Wood said.
A woman driving by the Bikini Bottoms espresso stand at 7919 176th St. E. on Oct. 7 called sheriff’s deputies after she spotted a barista outside the stand. She was wearing a thong bikini bottom and no top, according to court records.
A sheriff’s deputy sent to investigate the call found Lenn inside the stand making drinks, according to an arrest report. She was topless except for X-shaped pasties covering her nipples, the report states.
Lenn became angry when told she would be cited for indecent exposure and began to yell that baristas at other stands also wore pasties on the job, deputy Kevin Fries wrote in his report.
