HEALTH CARE: Bill will devastate Medicare

WILLIAM M. FRAZIER; Puyallup

I have tried to reason, beg, and convince Congressman Adam Smith to vote against this proposed health care bill. I do not believe he is listening, and if he is, could care less.

Although he appears to be giving the issue careful thought, I believe he has made up his mind long ago to vote yes.

It is quite obvious that the bill will devastate Medicare and probably the entire health care delivery industry. It will decrease the quality of health care, while at the same time raise the cost of health care for all.

The current method members of Congress are using to pass this bill is cowardly and a perversion. They don’t even have the courage to vote for the bill; instead they plan to “deem” it as passed. It is definitely corrupt and quite possibly unconstitutional.

I have never been active politically, but after watching all this occur over the past year I am now going to get active. I plan to provide both financial and active physical support to whichever candidate opposes Smith in the election this coming November.
