The State Parks and Recreation Commission is seeking nominations to its Boating Safety Advisory Council. Selected individuals will represent boating interests in the areas of safety education and fishing and angling. The deadline for submitting applications is Aug. 19.
Council members may be reimbursed for travel and other expenses when attending council meetings. The council meets four times a year.
These appointments will fill two vacant positions that run through Dec. 31, 2012. Appointments will be made by Oct. 1.
