Filmmaker to screen Katrina-based feature

L eonel Mendez, a New Orleans-based documentary filmmaker, will screen a new feature titled “The Experiment” at Pacific Lutheran University as part of The Spring on the Screen event sponsored by PLU’s MediaLab program. The documentary explores the transformation of New Orleans public schools after Hurricane Katrina. The screening will be at 7 p.m. today in the University Center’s Scandinavian Cultural Center. A Q&A session and refreshments will follow the showing.
