A group of fourth-grade students from Seabury School in Tacoma recently competed in the Destination Imagination Washington State Tournament and won first place in the scientific category.
The team has earned a chance to compete with teams from more than 30 countries at the Destination Imagination Global Finals in Knoxville, Tenn., at the end of May. The program helps students learn creativity, teamwork and problem solving as they work on challenges in various categories and present their ideas at tournaments.
The winning members of the Seabury team are: Benjamin Sandvik, Dharma Shah, Elizabeth Min, James Liu and Ronith Kandallu. The team will hold fundraisers in preparation for their trip to the Global Finals. To support the team, contact Seabury at 253-952-3111.
