Law enforcement officers on Thursday were searching for three armed men who robbed a Lakewood post office Tuesday evening.
The robbers entered the post office at 8403 83rd Ave. S.W. about 4:45 p.m. and one pointed a gun at the clerk and repeatedly yelled that he wanted cash, police Lt. Chris Lawler said.
The robbers got an undisclosed amount of cash and left the post office, Lawler said. No one was hurt.
A witness described the robbers as in their late teens to early 20s.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service has taken over the investigation with help from Lakewood police.
The Inspection Service offers a $50,000 reward for information that leads to arrests and convictions in robberies of post offices or employees.
