Should you be one of the many U.S. taxpayers with an Internal Revenue Service lien against your property, the agency wants to make the process of paying a bit easier.
Hence an announcement in February by IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman offering taxpayers a fresh start concerning changes to the lien process.
And hence also the announcement this week that 74 IRS Tax Assistance Centers nationwide will be open Saturday to assist taxpayers with their liens and other matters.
The Tacoma center at 1201 Pacific Ave. will be open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Along with advice and information on liens, the centers will offer the same range of services available during regular weekday hours.
