A stray cat that was saved Monday from atop a 40-foot power pole in South Tacoma has found a home.

Several people called the Tacoma-Pierce County Humane Society wanting to adopt Lucky and one woman placed an adoption deposit on the kitten, which was saved by utility workers after spending at least two nights on the pole.

She will leave the shelter Thursday unless her owner comes forward to claim her, development director Marguerite Richmond said.

Richmond said another 274 cats at the shelter need a home for those who would like to bring a cat home.
