The Seattle Mariners have traded pitcher Erik Bedard to the Boston Red Sox. The trade is part of a three-team deal involving the Mariners, the Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Pitchers Bedard and Josh Fields go to the Red Sox, while the Mariners land Trayvon Robinson of the Dodgers and Chih Hsien Chiang of the Red Sox.
Robinson is an outfielder in the Dodgers club. Chiang is an infielder who has been playing for Boston's minor league team the Portland Sea Dogs.
This is a developing story. We will post more details as soon as they are available.
