ON THE BALLOT: Voters throughout much of Pierce County have something to decide in the primary election. For Tacomans, it features one City Council seat and two School Board positions. Elsewhere, there are five fire district levies, plus races for one mayor’s job, four city council seats, two school districts, one fire district and one park district. The top two finishers in each contest will advance to the November general election.
TURNING IN BALLOTS: This is a vote-by-mail only election. Ballots must be postmarked by midnight Tuesday, or dropped off at a designated collection spot by 8 p.m. Tuesday. Ballots can be taken to secure drop boxes 24 hours a day through Election Day at the following locations.
