A 48-year-old man charged with sexually assaulting a developmentally disabled man at the Point Defiance Boathouse in Tacoma pleaded guilty Monday to attempted second-degree rape and third-degree assault.
Jerry Johnson Jr. is to be sentenced Sept. 21. He changed his plea as he was set to go to trial on a second-degree rape charge.
Authorities said he lured a 24-year-old man who had been fishing at the pier into a bathroom and sexually assaulted him Feb. 20, 2010.
