Citing stress, a juror in the fourth and final craigslist murder trial withdrew from deliberations Friday, forcing the recall of an alternate juror.
Deliberations in the trial of Clabon Berniard will resume Monday. Berniard, 24, is the last of four defendants accused in a botched robbery that led to the killing of Edgewood resident Jim Sanders on April 28, 2010.
KOMO news reported Friday that the juror was dismissed after saying she couldn’t handle the pressure of the case.
The three other defendants in the case admitted to taking part in the robbery. All were convicted. None would testify at Berniard’s trial.
Berniard’s case is the most difficult. He claims he was never at the scene. Prosecutors tried to prove otherwise.
The reassembled jury met briefly Friday afternoon, then adjourned for the weekend.
