The Black Hills Audubon Society will hold the fifth annual Patrick Sullivan Memorial Walk at Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge on Sept. 25.
The walk is held in honor of a former field trip leader who led trips all over Washington, including for the Olympia chapter of the Audubon Society.
While this is not the most active time of year for birding at the refuge, it is close to the time of Sullivan’s death, said Kristin Stewart, who is coordinating the event.
This is a short field trip and open to all levels of birding skill. The walk will take place from 7 a.m.-noon.
For more information, contact Stewart at 360-456-5098 or 360-402-1526.
