A Graham-Kapowsin High School student killed Tuesday in a car crash has been identified.

Clara Vallone, 16, was a passenger in a car that hit a utility pole, said Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer. The crash occurred about 4:30 p.m. near 137th Street and Canyon Road.

Witnesses told investigators the car had been traveling fast and was weaving before the crash, Troyer said.
