After just one game in the conference, No. 5 Boise State is already the biggest bully in the Mountain West.

The Broncos, an expansion target for the Big East, routed Colorado State, 63-13, in their Mountain West debut Saturday in Fort Collins, Colo., behind huge performances from quarterback Kellen Moore, tailback Doug Martin and wide receiver Tyler Shoemaker.

Moore threw for 338 yards and four touchdowns on 26-of-30 passing, Martin ran 20 times for 200 yards and three scores, and Shoemaker caught nine passes for 180 yards and two TDs and added a 36-yard run on a fake punt that led to another score for the Broncos (6-0 overall, 1-0 MWC).

The trio of playmakers did all of that damage in just 21/2 quarters before their backups finished off the Rams (3-3, 1-1).

“It just felt like we were executing like it we do practice,” said Moore, who engineered six scoring drives of under two minutes in improving to 44-2 as a starter, one win shy of Colt McCoy’s NCAA record.

The Broncos’ 742 total yards were a school mark, and they let off the gas long before the fourth quarter.

For Colorado State, it was the most points allowed since its 71-14 loss to Nebraska in 1991.

At Eastern Washington 48, Northern Colorado 27: Bo Levi Mitchell passed for 400 yards and three touchdowns to carry the Eagles (3-4, 3-2 Big Sky) to the homecoming win over the Bears (0-7, 0-5).

Mitchell, who completed 28 of 39 passes, also ran for a score for EWU, which has won three straight. Former Steilacoom High standout Greg Herd set career highs with 11 receptions for 159 yards, and also scored a touchdown.

Humboldt State 30, at Central Washington 20: The 19th-ranked (NCAA Division II) Lumberjacks (6-0, 4-0 GNAC) handed the Wildcats (2-4, 2-3) their first home loss after 20 home wins in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Senior Justin Helwege caught a career-high 12 pass for 130 yards and a touchdown for CWU, which allowed 512 yards of total offense.

At Wyoming 41, UNLV 14: Brett Smith passed for two touchdowns and caught a pass for another to lead the Cowboys (4-2) past UNLV (1-5) in the Mountain West Conference opener for both teams.

At Montana 30, Portland State 24: Jordan Canada ran for 159 yards and a touchdown as the Grizzlies (5-2, 3-1 Big Sky) rallied from a 11-point halftime deficit to beat the Vikings (3-3, 2-2).

At Nevada 49, New Mexico 7: Cody Fajardo passed for 203 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns, and Lampford Mark had three short touchdown runs as the Wolf Pack (3-3) rolled up 598 yards of total offense in beating the Lobos (0-6).

At Montana State 41, Northern Arizona 24: DeNarius McGhee threw three touchdown passes and Cody Kirk ran for 142 yards and a touchdown to give the first-place Bobcats (6-1 overall, 4-0 Big Sky) the win over the Lumberjacks (2-4, 1-3).

At Weber State 39, Idaho State 12: Mike Hoke completed only seven passes but four of them went for touchdowns to give the Wildcats (3-3, 3-1 Big Sky) their 13th straight home win over the border-rival Bengals (2-5, 1-4).

At New Mexico State 31, Idaho 24: Matt Christian and Travaughn Colwell combined to throw for 202 yards and two touchdowns, and Taveon Rogers ran a kickoff back 100 yards fir a score to propel the Aggies (3-3, 1-1 Western Athletic Conference) past the Vandals (1-6, 0-3). Idaho got 171 yards rushing and a touchdown from Kenny Turner.
