Pierce County has selected two finalists to remake its website and provide a content-management system.
But unlike the City of Tacoma, which chose Toronto-based Intrafinity for its website makeover, the county doesn’t anticipate signing a contract with a non-U.S. company.
Both finalists for Pierce County are U.S. companies, and at least one is located in Pierce County, said Linda Gerull, the county’s director of information technology.
The two were narrowed down from eight applicants. She declined to name any companies, because the selection process isn’t over.
A team of 14 county employees is expected to make a recommendation to County Executive Pat McCarthy by the end of the year, Gerull said. McCarthy will make the final decision.
