Tacoma Art Supply will close its doors on Oct. 28.
After the store moved from a storefront on Commerce Street near Tollefson Plaza last spring – to a spot at 728 Broadway just up from the Pantages Theater – owner Warren Caves discovered that his customers had disappeared.
“It was kind of a downward spiral,” he said Wednesday.
He began a going-out-of-business sale this week and expects to be sold out completely by the end of the month. “A few odds and ends” including writing instruments, colored paper and office supplies, remain from his inventory.
Caves said after he closes the shop, which opened in 2006, he will begin looking for a job as a graphic artist. “I’m going to start beating on doors,” he said.
