A top administrator in Tacoma Public Schools is leaving to take a job in Colorado.
Assistant Superintendent Rosanne Fulton said her last day in Tacoma is Friday. She has accepted a job in Aurora, Colo., where she will work as the school districts equity and engagement officer.
Fulton said her new job entails working on the achievement gap for disadvantaged students, working with students who are expelled or suspended and other issues.
Fulton returns to Colorado, where she worked before coming to Tacoma in 2009 and where her husband still lives. Im excited, but Im going to miss Tacoma, she said. Its been a good community to work in.
The district has not yet announced a replacement for Fulton.
