Ceremony marks dedication of Northeast Tacoma library

Northeast Tacoma Elementary School will dedicate its library to honor a former student, Marine Sgt. Michael T. Washington, at 2 p.m. Thursday. Washington was killed in Afghanistan in 2008.

Northeast Tacoma Elementary School will dedicate its library to honor a former student, Marine Sgt. Michael T. Washington, at 2 p.m. Thursday. Washington was killed in Afghanistan in 2008.

U.S. Rep. Adam Smith will help dedicate the Michael T. Washington Memorial Library and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Stadium High School JROTC, Boy Scouts, Marine Corps and veterans from Northeast Tacoma will take part in the event.
