U.S. Rep. Adam Smith will help dedicate the Michael T. Washington Memorial Library and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Stadium High School JROTC, Boy Scouts, Marine Corps and veterans from Northeast Tacoma will take part in the event.
The Institute of Museum and Library Services announced Tuesday that the Pierce County Library System is one of 10 recipients of this year’s National Medal for Museum and Library Service.
