Sex Offender Registrations
The following convicted sex offenders have recently registered to live in Pierce County.
Each is categorized as a Level 3 sex offender – those considered most likely to commit similar crimes. None is wanted by law enforcement officers at this time.
All convicted sex offenders registered to live in Tacoma and Pierce County are listed on the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department’s website at www.piercesheriff.org.
Daniel B. Norwood
Age: 49.
Description: 6 feet, 1 inch and 215 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Where registered to live: Transient in Pierce County.
Criminal history: Convicted in 1994 of second-degree rape in King County after he sexually assaulted a teenage girl he didn’t know. Was convicted of first-degree assault after he broke into a home in 1978 and confronted a woman inside.
Sex offender treatment: Refused to participate in the treatment program while incarcerated.
Other information: He was considered for civil commitment as a sexually violent predator in 2004, but King County Superior Court declined his commitment. The state Department of Corrections no longer is supervising him in the community.

Curtis J. Sveen
Age: 44.
Description: 5 feet, 8 inches and 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Where registered to live: 3900 block of South Tyler Street in Tacoma.
Criminal history: Convicted in 2002 of first-degree child molestation in Clark County after he sexually assaulted a 10-year-old boy. Was convicted in 2003 of third-degree child rape in Clark County after he sexually assaulted a teen boy over several years.
Sex offender treatment: Participated in the treatment program while incarcerated.

Timothy J. Fenton
Age: 43.
Description: 5 feet, 8 inches and 195 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Where registered to live: 3600 block of East Spokane Street in Tacoma.
Criminal history: Convicted in 1996 of first-degree rape in King County after he sexually assaulted a woman he didn’t know. Was convicted in 1993 of third-degree rape in King County after he sexually assaulted a woman he didn’t know.
Sex offender treatment: Did not participate in the treatment program while incarcerated.
