Tacoma police arrested two men Tuesday who allegedly robbed a bank branch, then led officers on a car chase that ended in a crash.
Police spokesman Mark Fulghum said one the men suffered injuries when he was bitten by a police dog.
The robbery occurred about 1:30 p.m. at the Columbia Bank branch, 201 S. 84th St.
Witnesses said a man walked up to a teller and demanded cash. He did not display a weapon.
After getting some money, the robber ran to a waiting car that sped off with police in pursuit. It crashed in the vicinity of East 63rd and F streets.
The robber and the driver ran off but soon were tracked down and arrested, Fulghum said.
They were expected to be booked into the Pierce County jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
