  John Munn, a local actor, director and entrepreneur, has just been named Lakewood Playhouse’s new permanent artistic director.   BLAINE - After a nationwide search, Blaine hired as its new Public Works director a candidate from close to home: Ravyn Whitewolf, engineering manager at the city of Bellingham.

  Whitewolf, engineering manager at Bellingham since 2001, will start as the Blaine Public Works director on Monday, March 12. She was selected after a nationwide search by a Seattle recruiting firm. Twenty-nine applications were submitted for the job.

  Before coming to Bellingham, Whitewolf worked for Whatcom County government as a senior design engineer and at Pacific Surveying and Engineering as a project manager, according to a Blaine news release. She is a registered professional engineer, and she is pursuing a master's degree.
