Vikings running back Adrian Peterson suffered a left ankle injury during Sunday's 27-21 loss to Oakland, and did not return.
Peterson sustained the injury during a rush in the final minute of the first quarter. He was helped off the field by trainers and rode a cart into the tunnel.
According to head coach Leslie Frazier, an x-ray did not show the ankle was broken, and Peterson will undergo an MRI exam soon.
Peterson ran for a score in the first quarter against the Raiders, finishing with 26 yards on six carries. He entered the week tied for the NFL lead in rushing touchdowns (10), and had totaled 846 yards through nine games.
