Sounders FC will open its fourth Major League Soccer season March 10 at CenturyLink Field against an opponent to be appointed.
It will be the fourth straight season that the Sounders open at home on the first day of the MLS season. However, unlike previous seasons when Seattle was featured in a single First Kick game, six games will be played on this MLS opening day: at Colorado, D.C. United, Los Angeles, San Jose, Vancouver and Seattle.
The league announced the opening home date for each of its 19 clubs on Tuesday. The full schedule is expected to be released in about a month.
More on the Sounders’ and league schedules is available at blog.thenewstribune.com/soccer.
