There’s local theater happening in the area. Here are a few you might want to check out.

 • North Thurston High School’s “Wizard of Oz,” 7 tonight at North Thurston High School PAC, 600 Sleater-Kinney Road N.E., Lacey. Tickets are $5 or $20 for family at the door. 360-628-8713, bkmusicalproductions.com.

 • Tacoma Little Theatre is presenting “A Christmas Carol” with showtimes of 7:30 Thursdays-Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 24. The theater is at 210 N. I St., Tacoma. Single Tickets are $15-25, group tickets: 10-25: $15; 25+: $10. 253-272-2281, tacomlittletheatre.com.

 • Listen to the sounds of TCC Symphonic Band in concert tonight at 7:30. The free concert is at TCC Building 2 Auditorium, 6501 S. 19th St., Tacoma. A $5 suggested donation is requested. 253-460-4374, tacomacc.edu/music.
