The Florida Highway Patrol said late Saturday that a small, private plane developed engine trouble over Jacksonville and made an emergency landing on an interstate highway.

The Florida Times-Union reported that no one was injured when the plane touched down before 10 p.m. Saturday on the southbound side of Interstate 295 near Interstate 95. Two people were onboard the plane.

State troopers are investigating and working to remove the aircraft from the roadway.
