Prosecutors say woman committed at least 6 robberies Pierce County prosecutors have charged a 40-year-old woman in connection with a string of armed robberies recently in Tacoma.
Linda Jo Hollingsworth was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree robbery, four counts of second-degree robbery and two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
She was ordered held in the Pierce County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
Charging documents allege Hollingsworth is responsible for the following robberies:
• Oct. 24 at KJ Market, 6405 McKinley Ave., in Tacoma. The robber claimed to have a gun and became forceful when the clerk initially refused to hand over money.
• Nov. 7 at the AM/PM at 5433 S. Orchard St. in Tacoma. The robber claimed to have a gun in her purse.
• Nov. 11 at the Shell gas station at 5407 Tacoma Mall Blvd. The robber claimed to have a gun. The clerk told investigators the robber handled a candy box on the counter and a fingerprint lifted from the box matched Hollingsworth.
• Nov. 14 at the Subway at 6402 S. Yakima Ave. The robber had what appeared to be a silver revolver.
• Nov. 25 at the Subway at 1407 E. 72nd St. The robber claimed to have a gun in her purse.
• Nov. 28 at Spud’s Pizza, 7025 Pacific Ave. The robber claimed to have a gun in her purse.
Several victimized employees picked Hollingsworth out of a photo montage.
When arrested, Hollingsworth had heroin and cocaine in her pocket, charging documents state.
Prosecutors said Hollingsworthis a suspect in at least three other robberies.
