The following convicted sex offenders have recently registered to live in Pierce County.
Each is categorized as a Level 3 sex offender – those considered most likely to commit similar crimes. None is wanted by law enforcement officers at this time.
All convicted sex offenders registered to live in Tacoma and Pierce County are listed on the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department’s website at www.piercesheriff.org.
CHRISTOPHER J. PARSON
Age: 29.
Description: 6 feet 2 and 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Where registered to live: 2300 block of Fawcett Avenue in Tacoma.
Criminal history: Convicted in 2001 of first-degree child rape and first-degree child molestation in Pierce County after he sexually assaulted a neighbor boy.
Sex offender treatment: Failed to complete the treatment program.

WILLIAM L. BEEM
Age: 47.
Description: 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Where registered to live: 2100 block of South 50th Street in Tacoma.
Criminal history: Convicted in 1992 of first-degree child molestation in Pierce County after he sexually assaulted a young girl he was baby sitting.
Sex offender treatment: Participated in the treatment program.
Other information: Convicted in 1987 of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 in California after he sexually assaulted two young boys while baby sitting them. Convicted in 1985 of soliciting a lewd act in California after sexually assaulting a teenage girl waiting at a bus stop.

MCKINLEY F. SIMMONS
Age: 56.
Description: 5 feet 10 and 155 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.
Where registered to live: 3000 block of South 12th Street in Tacoma.
Criminal history: Convicted in 1997 of third-degree child rape in Pierce County after he sexually assaulted a teenage girl.
Sex offender treatment: Participated in the treatment program while incarcerated.
Other information: Tacoma police said Simmons has recently showed behavior that increases his likelihood of committing new crimes.
