Against the Seahawks: The Seahawks have a 13-12 record in the series against San Francisco, including a 33-17 loss to the Niners at Candlestick Park in the first game of the regular season in September. Seattle has won six of the past eight contests against San Francisco at CenturyLink Field.
Stats and stuff: Seattle coach Pete Carroll faces former conference rival Jim Harbaugh for the second time this season. He will try to even the score after an earlier disappointing loss on the road. … The Niners have one of the best defenses in the league, allowing a league-low 14 points a game. San Francisco has not allowed a rushing touchdown this season. … Former University of Washington tight end Reggie Davis coaches San Francisco’s tight ends. Former UW defensive coordinator Ed Donatell coaches the Niners’ secondary. Former Seahawks offensive line coach Mike Solari serves in the same role for San Francisco. Former Seattle receiver Bobby Engram is an offensive assistant coach for the Niners.
