The Whatcom Humane Society is making free hay and grain available to owners of horses and other livestock who need help caring for their animals this winter.

Animal owners can pick up a coupon for hay or grain at either Humane Society shelter, 3710 Williamson Way or 1661 Baker Creek Place, Bellingham. Coupons are first-come, first-served.

Redeem the coupon for a bale of hay or bag of grain at Kelly Ridge Farm and Garden, 366 Kelly Road. The program is supported by a donation from Alcoa Intalco Works.
