• The annual Model Train Festival is this week at the Washington State History Museum, 1911 Pacific Ave., Tacoma. From scaled-down steam engines to figurines no bigger than a fingernail, the model railroad landscapes will be on display throughout the museum. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily through Jan. 1.
