The Rock Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits recently announced the winners of its Battle of the Bands competition, in which 28 high school marching bands from across the Pacific Northwest submitted video renditions of famous rock and roll songs.
South Kitsap High School won $10,000 for its performance of “Burning Love” by Elvis Presley. Rogers and Puyallup high schools and Bellarmine Preparatory School were runners-up, while Puyallup and Sumner high schools won their divisions and Bellarmine received the best video award.
